New Commercial Diving School Opens in Summerside, PEI Providing Industry with in-demand Certified Commercial Divers

The Atlantic Commercial Diving Centre recently opened their doors in a new facility located in Summerside, PEI. “We are excited to offer commercial diving training in Atlantic Canada. In fact, we are the only certified commercial diving school east of Ontario,” says Kimball Johnson, Founder and Director of the school. “There is high demand for qualified graduates of the program both locally, nationally and internationally. I receive weekly calls from commercial diving companies looking for employees.”
The team of instructors at Atlantic Commercial Diving Centre have over 200 combined years of industry experience. This provides exceptional training for divers,
particularly in Atlantic Canada, as ocean related industries experience unparalleled growth. “We are always looking for well-trained commercial divers. We have worked with Kimball Johnston for the last 8 years and know when we hire someone he and his team have trained, we are getting a well-rounded, highly professional commercial diver” notes Ron Pitcher of ProDive. “Our students train in the tidal waters of the North Atlantic, preparing them to work anywhere in the world. Our ACDC graduates are in demand, working on everything from deep water drill platforms to bridges, aquaculture environments, ships and more.” Kimball Johnston shares.
The Atlantic Commercial Diving Centre is now accepting applications for its 22-week Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diving course that starts January 2022. The school is hosting a virtual open house on June 16th at 1pm AST for prospective students. The virtual open house will feature a guest speaker from a leading diving company as well as a tour of the facility.
