PUBLIC REVIEW STARTED: CSA Z275.2 – Occupational Health and Safety Code for Diving Operations (New Edition) 2026
By CADC Admin ~ March 9th, 2026. Filed under: Latest Diving News.
CSA Z275.2 – Occupational Health and Safety Code for Diving Operations (New Edition) has now been posted on the CSA Public Review site.
This triggers the mandatory 60-day public review period, which closes on April 5, 2026.
This review matters. Z275.2 is the backbone of how commercial diving safety is defined, interpreted, and enforced across Canada. What goes into the final standard will directly influence how regulators, inspectors, clients, and insurers assess diving operations going forward.
I strongly encourage all contractors and stakeholders to take the time to review the draft and submit comments where appropriate—particularly where language affects operational practicality, safety outcomes, or alignment with how diving work is actually carried out in the field.
You can access the draft standard here:

Please note that comments must be submitted directly through the CSA Public Review system before the April 5 deadline.
If you have substantive concerns or observations you believe should be coordinated or flagged from an industry perspective, feel free to copy me or reach out separately.
Thanks for taking the time to engage—this is one of the few formal opportunities contractors have to influence the standard before it is finalized.
Regards,
Doug
